Testimonials

“A Rutland Landmark! My family has been going to Still Four Corners, since it was just ‘Four Corners' (on the corner). It’s been at least 23 years. Our family has grown a lot over those years and each and every one of them anxiously wait for the spring opening. My family from Canada, Florida and even the UK make sure their visits include at least one meal at ‘The Corner’!” -June Spence Willey

“We love it there. Always great parking. Great service and food. Looking forward to the reopening.” -Lisa Turpin

“From the food to the service everything is great plus a good game of checkers with your grandfather is always an added bonus.” -Megan Small

“Four Corners is the Cheers of small town Rutland...sometimes you want to go where everyone knows your name (or Jack’s)! Not just a restaurant with delicious food, but a place where you feel like family. We have become ‘regulars’ not just for the food, but because it is a place where my children feel welcome, where they love to be greeted by the staff, where we run into family and friends, and where they serve the best onion rings, clam chowder and chicken nuggets around. We count the days til you open!” -BethAnne Reidy DiFonso

“We love everything! My kids and I live there in the summer. Love the screen porch, love the atmosphere, love the food, love the ice cream. We see everyone we know we can bring our dogs! And the service spot on always nice workers! Counting down the days!” -Heather Mae

“We love Four Corners My dad took me to the old location, now we meet up with my two girls at the new place. My oldest has discovered many ice cream flavors. I remain a twist with jimmies gal. 🤣” -Amber Vayo

“Opening day and the last day are a family tradition in this house, and as many days as possible in between!” -Liz Landine Craine

“Still Four Corners has, hands down, THE BEST onion rings!” -Cindy Decoteau

“We love it at Still Four Corners! I’m pretty sure I’ve had almost everything on the menu, it’s all delicious!! Never a sad moment, except for when you close for the season!” -Patrick Monahan

Chowder Challenge

The community we are a part of is extremely important to us and our business.  We love to get involved in community events and try to support the community when we can.  When the Rutland Fire Brigade held the annual chowder and chili challenge we were frequent participants.  It was wonderful to see so many people turn out to support a good cause, spend time with family and friends, and allow new people to try our products.  Winning top prizes for both our chowder and chili at times was an added bonus.  There are many great restaurants in Rutland and the surrounding areas.  To be voted the best by the people is an honor. Although the event is no longer running, we continue to make the same great chowder and spicy chili fresh daily.

History

Still Four Corners was started by the Robertson Family in 1982.  The operation was small at first, many referred to us as the "Snack Shack" and that was an accurate description.  The building and menu were much smaller than they are today.  In 2002 we took some time to rebuild a larger building next to our initial location.  Although we were no longer located on the corner, we are STILL Four Corners.  Our business has been built with lots of hard work and support from family, friends, and the community and it continues to evolve.  Nobody ever thought that we would fill out the building that we have now, but somehow we have reached capacity once again.  We are always looking for ways to expand the space we have, increase our efficiency, and improve the customer experience.  Keep an eye out for what we might try next.
